DNS Distribution Solutions LLC has been a company in the making for over the last 35 years.  After having given his time to serve our country our founder and CEO David Schultz, left the U.S. Navy in 1987.  He was sure that all the specialized and technical training he had been given would find him in a good position in the civilian community.  Much to his demise he quickly learned all of that specialized training didn't mean anything to anyone outside of the military.

Bouncing from one job to another for the next few months David found himself working a dock in a warehouse (far from the vast Medical Training he had received). Watching trucks come and go, speaking with many of them, he decided that driving a truck would be much more lucrative and better serve him and his long-term goals.

After completing training, David bought his first truck in January of 1988.  Here he spent the next 11 years building and increasing his knowledge of the trucking industry and adding more trucks to his small fleet.

David maintained a profitable fleet for the next 11 years until a misfortune caused him to sell his trucks and virtually give up trucking.  Once again, he found himself unable to meet his financial obligations with common employment.  Knowing that that the only real source of income available was the active CDL he carried in his back pocket.  David decided to return to trucking and went to work for a trucking company in Mediapolis Iowa as a company driver.

However, 100 days into this employment, he walked into his home terminal to find it in turmoil, after everything had settled down, he learned they had just let their Fleet Coordinator go, so he spoke with the terminal manager where he was given the position of Fleet Coordinator where he stayed and successfully increased terminal profits by nearly 600% over the next 4 years.

David then got a call from a man seeking his abilities and asking him to move to central Illinois, which after some negotiation he was granted the position of Fleet Administrator, where he again over the next 5 years help to strengthen & growing the company from 7 trucks to what is now today a fleet of over 150, and double that in trailers, along with a new dispatch facility and warehouse.

This lasted until a Thursday morning in September 2007, when again David got a call and after much negotiation was assigned the position of Chief Operations Officer, where he has remained for over 17 years helping to grow the company and watching it branch off and open several side corporations all which he has served some part in getting them up and running to helping make them successful corporations in their own right.

Having spent over 35 combined years working with various organizations such as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, The American Truckers Association,  having sat on the board of The Illinois Trucking Association,  The Intermodal Association of North American, Midwest Truckers Association,  Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, Union Pacific Railroad,  DCLI, Flexi Van, Trac Chassis and eleven of the Ocean Carriers that use the Long Beach, Los Angeles, New York, Norfolk and other various ports around the country.

This combined knowledge of freight movement in both the International and Domestic Markets gives David the vast knowledge of exactly how to move freight effectively and efficiently while circumventing the many obstacles that all too often come into play.
